Sananga

SANANGA is a powerful eye drop of the amazon. Made and used by different Amazonian tribes from the root bark of a shrub called Apocynaceae that grows in the depths of the Brazilian Amazon. Traditionally, the indigenous tribes of Brazil have used Sananga to stimulate their senses (vision, consciousness, concentration, strength) used for hunting. It is said that Sananga improves vision and strengthens our connection with spiritual realms and opens our third eye. It also helps activate and decalcify our pineal gland and helps us eliminate negative energy.

The pure spirit of Sananga is compatible with a deep cleansing of blocked energies at emotional, physical and spiritual levels. Sananga can balance and increase your energies, and find the roots of your illnesses and blockages, leading to complete balance, focus, and peace of mind. In addition, eye drops are also used to heal and improve a wide range of eye problems (Lambert et al., 2010), such as myopia, depth and colour perception, image definition and detection accuracy. This sacred medicine is indicated in cases of serious eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and blindness. As these drops can exert such powerful effects in their visualization, they are also commonly applied 30 minutes before or during Ayahuasca healing ceremonies, to increase visualization and spiritual perception.

Sananga eye drops are known by the Kaxinawás tribe as "Mana Heins" and as "Becchete" for the Matsés. Mana Heins or Becchete belongs to the family Apocynaceae, the same family to which iboga belongs (Tabernanthe iboga) (König et al., 2015). The bark of the root of this shrub is first crushed into a very fine powder that is filtered several times through a cotton mesh and finally extracted in a juice. Sananga is applied to the eyes, one drop in each eye. It is recommended to be in an atmosphere of peace so that the person is in a meditative state and lying down. It is also important to intend to take the medicine and explore the meaning and understanding of the intention after taking the powerful Sananga medicine.
