Sananga
SANANGA is a powerful eye drop of the amazon. Made and used by different Amazonian tribes from the root bark of a shrub called Apocynaceae that grows in the depths of the Brazilian Amazon. Traditionally, the indigenous tribes of Brazil have used Sananga to stimulate their senses (vision, consciousness, concentration, strength) used for hunting. It is said that Sananga improves vision and strengthens our connection with spiritual realms and opens our third eye. Sananga eye drops are known by the Kaxinawás tribe as "Mana Heins" and as "Becchete" for the Matsés. Mana Heins or Becchete belongs to the family Apocynaceae, the same family to which iboga belongs (Tabernanthe iboga) (König et al., 2015). The bark of the root of this shrub is first crushed into a very fine powder that is filtered several times through a cotton mesh and finally extracted in a juice. Sananga is applied to the eyes, one drop in each eye. It is recommended to be in an atmosphere of peace so that the person is in a meditative state and lying down. It is also important to intend to take the medicine and explore the meaning and understanding of the intention after taking the powerful Sananga medicine.
