Beautiful hairpin made from Macaw feathers and Huayruro seeds.
Macaw birds are native to the Amazon and central America. These feathers have long been used by medicine people to increase the skills of language, song, and memory. They are also valued for longevity and for communication between romantic partners, as these birds live for a very long time and mate for life.
The Huayruro has always been considered a "seed of good luck and wealth" in the Amazonian tribes it is considered a magical tree to which spiritual qualities are attributed.
In the past they used it as the main element in many of their ceremonies due to its great power of protection against evil presences. No spirit can approach the presence of the Huayruro.
This adornment also contains small parts of banisteriopsis caapi, which is better known as Ayahuasca. The beautiful geometry of this Tepi and the objects of power included make it an aesthetic and powerful instrument.
