Kintu is a bridge connecting ancient ways and modern times. For many years Kintu has been dedicated to supporting indigenous and local artisans as we understood ‘to help one is to help all’.
Our mission is to preserve ancient wisdom through supporting artisans and assist a state of balance by welcome these sacred tools to our modern lives. We feel honoured to be the bridge between worlds, welcoming these ancient wisdoms to your heart and hands.
In Quechua and Aymara culture, the K’intu is a symbol of harmony between body, mind and heart.
Kintu Is a grouping of three coca leaves together, with stems pointing down and leaves facing up, with the smallest leaf on top. The three leaves together represent the three worlds, the lower world of Uhu Pacha, middle world of Kay Pacha, and upper world of Hanaq Pacha.
A KINTU is created with intention as an offering or prayer, offering these leaves to the land, the waters or the fire.
Principally, we work with different indigenous tribes and cultures from Central and South America, as well as local artisans who work in harmony with Mother Earth.
Products available with Kintu are always responsibly sourced from remote tribes and local artisans. These ceremonial tools are crafted with loving care and carry the intention of the maker, we recommend taking time to connect with these sacred tools, their wisdom and you own intention.
